Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1 – An encounter with elephants (Kandy)
After arriving at the airport, head to the hilly town of Kandy.
On the way, spend some time at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. One of the most prominent tourist attractions of the island, the orphanage is where abandoned and injured elephants are looked after by volunteers and caretakers. You can watch large herds of elephants walk down to the river to bathe and play. Later, visit the Gem Museum to admire the breathtaking varieties of gem minerals, which includes blue, pink, yellow and golden sapphires.
Head to the hotel to check-in and retire for the night.

Day 2 – Explore the city of Kandy (Kandy)
Head out for a day of sightseeing, starting with the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
Considered one of the holiest places of worship among Buddhists in Sri Lanka, the temple houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. The tooth relic sits on a golden lotus and is enclosed in seven gold caskets studded with precious stones. After this, head to Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens − an expansive park that was once reserved exclusively for Kandyan royalty. There are over 300 varieties of plants and trees spread across 147 acres.
In the evening, attend a traditional dance show before heading back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3 – Visit Little England – Nuwara Eliya (Kandy-Nuwara Eliya)
After checking out from the hotel at Kandy, travel to Nuwara Eliya.
After checking in at the hotel, head out for a tour of the city, stopping at the trout streams, golf course, and Victoria Park before going boating or fishing on Lake Gregory. You can also visit a working tea factory that produces some of the world’s finest Orange Pekoe tea. Visit St. Clair’s Falls and the peaceful Hakgala Botanical Garden that houses many subtropical and some temperate plants.

Day 4 – Seaside Escape to Nuwara Eliya and Bentota (Nuwara Eliya-Bentota)
Check out from the hotel and travel from the hills of Nuwara Eliya to the beaches of Bentota.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel and freshen up before heading out for a day of sightseeing. Visit the Kande Vihare Temple that houses the tallest Buddha statue in Sri Lanka and then proceed to the Sri Kalyanarama Maha Vihariya. Later, take a boat cruise on Madu River, through lagoons and mangrove waterways. Look out for water monitor lizards, egrets, kingfishers, and cormorants.
After a busy day, enjoy a quiet dinner and head back to the hotel for a good night’s sleep.

Day 5 – A day at leisure at Bentota (Bentota)
Spend the day at leisure.
You can laze around the Bentota beach, visit the seaside shacks for a snack or try out some water sports. Apart from swimming and body-surfing, you can jet-ski, parasail, or windsurf on direct payment basis.
After making the most of a free day, head back to the hotel for some rest and relaxation.

Day 6 – Discover the colorful city of Colombo (Bentota-Colombo)
After checking out from the hotel, travel to Colombo for a day of sightseeing and shopping.
Through the day, visit the famous tourist spots like Galle Face Green, National Museum, and its neighboring public park − Viharamahadevi Park. Also pay a visit to the Twin World Trade Center Towers, Old Parliament Building, Fort district, Independence Hall and some of the well-known places of worship.
Colombo is a popular shopping destination, so visit some of the main shopping centers like Odel, House of Fashion, Beverly Street, Majestic City, and Noritake before returning to the hotel for the night.

Day 7 – Saying Goodbye! (Colombo)
After checking out from the hotel, proceed to the airport to start your journey back home.
